Strabag Real Estate GmbH developed the office building “Dunajska cesta offices (DCO)” in the “Little Manhattan” area of Ljubljana. The seven-story project combines modern architecture with efficient and contemporary workplace requirements.
The glass facade extends from floor to ceiling. Between the floors, 3D strips made of Alucobond have been installed. Each office has windows with outward-opening mechanisms. The glazing features high-security solar protection glass.
In addition to low energy transmission, the entire facade achieves a thermal transmittance (Ucw) of only 0.8 W/m²K.
The project is one of the most demanding in the last ten years, as numerous non-standard solutions had to be planned. Due to its location on a main road leading to the city center and the very limited construction site area, transportation was extremely challenging. Special logistics were required for the daily delivery of materials for assembly.
